// WHAT'S IN IT

Inside the dataset

OS Code-Point with Polygons gives you a polygon for every full (unit) postcode in Great Britain - the smallest commonly-used aggregation level for property, marketing and risk analysis. Every polygon carries the postcode and its administrative coding.

It's the standard product for postcode-level segmentation, customer aggregation, geo-marketing and risk pricing.

Key features

  • ~1.7M unit postcode polygons
  • Built from AddressBase footprints
  • Refreshed quarterly
  • ONS coding for hierarchical aggregation

// FAQ

Common questions

How are postcode polygons built?

They are derived from AddressBase address points using a Voronoi-style approach - the polygon for postcode XYZ is the area closest to its addresses.

Are polygons stable across releases?

They evolve as addresses are added or retired. We can supply diff files alongside.

Can we get just one region?

Yes - regional and bespoke clips are available.
