What is a site plan?

A site plan shows your property and the land around it on an accurate map base. For planning applications councils usually ask for two: a site location plan (typically 1:1250) showing the wider context with a red-line boundary, and a block plan (typically 1:500) showing the detailed layout of the proposal.
