1. Who we are
In these terms, "PlanningMapsUK", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the PlanningMapsUK service.
These Terms of Sale & Service apply whenever you buy a product or use the PlanningMapsUK service. The version shown at checkout applies to that order.
2. What we sell
PlanningMapsUK sells licensed mapping and document products, including:
- single PDF plans;
- PDF bundles;
- CAD plans in DWG and DXF format;
- printed map add-ons; and
- Land Registry title document add-ons where offered.
We supply licensed mapping and document outputs only. We do not provide planning, surveying, legal, architectural, or design advice. You remain responsible for checking that the ordered product, site, extent, and submission package are right for your project.
3. Orders and separate contracts
Each checkout creates a separate contract. Orders are not merged or repriced after purchase. If you later buy additional maps or a bundle, you do not gain retrospective bundle pricing, credits, offsets, or partial refunds for earlier standalone orders.
You must review your property address, boundary, scale, paper size, orientation, and any other selected options before placing your order.
4. Prices and tax
Prices shown at checkout are the final prices payable for the selected product and any selected add-ons. Pricing may change for future orders, but not for an order already accepted.
PlanningMapsUK is not VAT registered. VAT is not charged.
5. Immediate digital supply
PlanningMapsUK digital products are supplied immediately after payment unless a technical issue requires manual intervention. By placing an order, you request immediate digital supply to start after payment.
Once digital supply starts, you acknowledge that the 14-day cancellation right for that digital content is lost, subject to any rights that cannot be excluded by law.
6. Product-specific licence and use rules
All mapping products are supplied under licensed Ordnance Survey data rights and remain subject to Crown copyright, database rights, and any applicable sublicence conditions.
Single PDF plans and PDF bundles
- Each purchased PDF plan includes 1 authorised output copy unless extra printed copies are bought from us.
- Standard PDF and PDF-bundle downloads remain available for 14 days from the order date unless an active Plan Protect term applies.
- PDF rights are non-transferable and limited to your own project and submission use.
- You must not resell, repackage, sublicense, scrape, extract, or reuse the mapping data as a standalone mapping resource.
Plan Protect
- Plan Protect is an optional 12-month PDF-only support entitlement for single PDF plans and PDF bundles.
- While active, it covers boundary changes, annotation changes, map-view readjustments up to 10%, plan name changes, produced-for changes, and PDF re-downloads.
- Plan Protect does not cover CAD, new scales, or new paper sizes.
- If Plan Protect expires, re-download access ends unless a fresh Protect purchase is made.
CAD plans
- Each CAD purchase includes a 12-month licence from supply.
- The licence is limited to one site and one project, is non-transferable, and may only be shared with your architect, planner, consultant, or contractor team for that same project on no less restrictive terms.
- When the licence expires, raw CAD download and reuse rights end and a fresh purchase is required for further use.
Printed add-ons and title documents
- Printed copies are an add-on fulfilment service tied to the purchased digital plan.
- Title documents are supplied per requested title and only where the underlying source can be retrieved.
7. Prohibited use
You must not:
- resell or redistribute outputs as a product or service;
- sublicense mapping data beyond the limited project-team sharing expressly allowed above;
- extract, reverse engineer, or reuse OS data as a separate dataset;
- remove copyright or attribution notices;
- use PlanningMapsUK outputs to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or validate AI or machine-learning systems; or
- use the service in a way that breaches law, third-party rights, or applicable OS licensing requirements.
We and our licensors reserve the right to restrict access, suspend supply, or enforce these licence terms where misuse is identified or required by law or licensor instruction.
8. Refunds, cancellations, and corrections
Refund and correction rules are set out in our Refunds & Cancellations Policy and Map Acceptance Guarantee & Corrections Policy.
In summary, digital PDF and CAD products are non-refundable for change of mind once checkout completes and supply starts. Where a PlanningMapsUK fault exists, our standard remedy is correction or reissue first. Refunds are only offered where correction is not reasonably possible or where required by law.
Customer-requested PDF amendments outside a PlanningMapsUK fault are only included where an active Plan Protect entitlement applies or where we separately agree a paid reissue.
9. PlanningMapsUK acceptance guarantee
If a map is rejected because of a PlanningMapsUK preparation or compliance fault, we will review the issue and, where the fault is ours, correct and reissue the affected map. This is a limited acceptance guarantee for our own map-preparation or compliance faults, not a guarantee of planning permission or application validation in every case.
10. Customer responsibilities
- Check the ordered boundary, site extent, product type, and address before paying.
- Review the delivered output before submitting it to a local authority or third party.
- Print PDFs at 100% scale where scale accuracy matters.
- Ensure your project team complies with all licence restrictions that apply to the supplied output.
11. Availability and support
We aim to keep the service continuously available, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance, licensor issues, technical faults, or events outside our control may delay delivery or access.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, PlanningMapsUK is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost chance, wasted professional time, planning refusal on non-map grounds, or customer loss arising from incorrect information, wrong site selection, or misuse of the output.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service or a specific order where reasonably necessary for security, misuse, payment issues, legal compliance, or licensor requirements.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law says otherwise.
