How to find a property boundary on a map
Type a full address or postcode into the search box, or click directly on a building on the map. The tool reads the matching parcel from Ordnance Survey mapping and highlights it, then estimates the enclosed area in square metres, acres and hectares.
This boundary view is ideal for a quick check of plot size, frontage and where a property sits relative to neighbouring land. For a planning application you will normally need a formal site location plan with a red-line boundary, drawn to a recognised scale such as 1:1250.
Property boundary maps and your title
The boundaries shown here are based on OS topographic mapping, not the legal title boundary. The exact legal extent of a property is recorded by HM Land Registry. For most planning and design work the OS parcel is the right starting point, and our paid plans use the same official OS data.
